The Adega Lounge Nightclub in Newark, New Jersey (27 September 2013)

Newark’s Adega Lounge was hosting a two-night event with specials of 99-dollar bottles and three-dollar ciroc/goose drinks, a hot deal that lasted until midnight. Unique Designz has quite a bit of experience creating nightclub flyer designs, so I knew exactly what to do for the club’s event launch. And because it kicked off on a Friday night, I experimented with the “start” symbol used for electronics as the start of the weekend special for the Adega Lounge, making this nightclub flyer design stand out a bit more.

The second night of the Adega Lounge nightclub’s weekend was hosted by DJ Herbie Herb: he kicked off what the nightclub dubbed “Sure Thing Saturday,” so I wanted the name of the evening to stand out in this particular nightclub flyer design. The first one I designed for them represented the beginning of the weekend, so the second design needed more to address the specific Saturday event and make the name stand out. The drink specials were the same, but I left them on the flyer design, though not as prominent.

Rise Nightclub in Lodi, New Jersey (27 September 2013)

The Rise nightclub in Lodi, New Jersey, reached out to me to put together a special flyer design for their “Exclusive Latin Friday” event hosted by pop culture icon Alex Sensation. Joining him was Marc Rivera and DJ Mancho, and they all put together an atmosphere worthy of the nightclub’s tagline: “Accelerate the Desire.” I wanted the provide a design that was both rich but direct and to the point of what the night was about.

Along with the nightclub flyer design needed for the previous evening, the client came to Unique Designz for its event featuring DJ Toro. For a flyer design like this, it was most important that I conveyed the guest DJ hosting the night; he would be the one pulling in crowds, so I made him the forefront of the design. In addition to him, I added an image of Tony Gia in the lower left-hand corner of the flyer. Rise in Lodi, New Jersey, is the home of “Strictly Dance Rhythm” Saturdays — this was key with the imagery I included of the speaker system flanking Toro on the cityscape backdrop. The club wanted to pull in a crowd ready to move, and I delivered a visual fulfilling just that.

Teak on the Hudson in Hoboken, New Jersey (12 September 2013)

Creating flyer designs for nightclubs has become one of the cornerstones of the Unique Designz business, so when Teak on the Hudson in Hoboken, New Jersey came to me for not one, not two, but a total of three flyer designs for some standout fall events, I was more than equipped for the challenge. The first in the set of three was the simplest, but my compensation is the bright pastel color scheme accented by the spotlights in the upper right and left corners of the flyer. It’s bright, flashy, and eye-catching: three fundamental elements to pay attention to when putting together a nightclub flyer design.

The first flyer design I made for the Teak on the Hudson nightclub in Hoboken, New Jersey was a concept I carried over into this one. The circular pattern was something I wanted to keep, but instead of the vibrancy I instead introduced a rusty sunset veiling the Hudson and Manhattan skyline. Nightclub goers are typically nighthawks, so the colors are a call to action for those who come out when the sun sets and the real party begins!

The third and final flyer design in this batch for the Teak on the Hudson nightclub centered on visiting DJ Damien Anthony, so I wanted to make his presence in the design bold — there’s no question who is leading the club’s event. Because the Hudson River is an iconic image for Hoboken, not to mention the view of Manhattan, they were some added touches that made me particularity happy with this flyer.
